Meditation

Animal Guide Meditation and Painting Workshop is HERE!

It’s here!!! If you have even the tiniest desire to connect and work with an animal guide then this is the workshop for you!

Animal Guide Meditation & Painting Workshop

In this workshop, you will tune into the energy of your spirit animal guide, your desires, and your intuition.

It begins by me leading you on a guided meditation while drumming to help you discover or connect with your animal guide.

Then you can journal about your experience, do a little research around the energy of the animal that showed up, and begin to create your artwork.

If you have any worries about your painting skills, Kristen’s gentle guidance will put them to rest. I have been taking her classes for years and I just love what she draws out of me.

Kristen knows how to nurture you and help you put your self-judgment aside so you can paint from your soul and love your creation.

We first offered this as an in-person class here in Arizona. I have started working with a wolf now too and you can see my painting below. It’s howling at the moon, of course!!!

Also, included in the workshop is my new Working with Animal Guides ebook and printable oracle card deck.

Below is a short intro video to help you get a better idea about this workshop.

Over 5 years ago, I started working with a bear animal guide and I have just adored the connection and appreciate how much this work has helped during times of stress and anxiety.

My friend Kristen is always painting the most amazing animals that I just knew combining our skills and passions would be a perfect fit!

I just adore the fact that we are connected and I hope you to take advantage of this opportunity to paint and play with your animal guide. Feel free to reach out to me, Kerry, with any questions at hello@themoonandarrowlodge.com.

Bringing Mindfulness to Creatives at Craftcation 2018

I was thrilled to be invited as a presenter at the Craftcation 2018 this last April put on by Nicole Stevenson and Delilah Snell of Dear Handmade Life. This is an extravaganza of crafts, color, fun, and talented and generous people.

The energy of this event is almost indescribable. Also, the effort and vision of its founders blew me away. It was such an impressive event that really brought people together. A lot of the focus was crafting and business but what I picked up on the most was people talking about being around like-minded people, expressing themselves without judgment, and seeing the event as an epic act of self-care.

I was asked to present about Mindfulness for Creatives with my friend Cassie Uhl of Zenned Out Jewelry. We talked about the importance of taking time for yourself and shared a lot of tips similar to what I share on this blog and on social media.

Each day people could sign up for office hours that covered different topics.

I did mini-intuitive business readings and absolutely loved them! Some of the people have continued working with me in my Dreamcatcher Circle program.

I had my tried and true Medicine Woman deck along with these amazing oils from Joyful Roots. The oils help bring people into the present moment and the cards help people think about and view their situations from a more intuitive place.

I also offered Guided Meditations to attendees on the beach. Wow! These were so amazing. I just loved the energy of the people who came and the sounds of the ocean in the background. To be honest, I felt like I could do this all day long!

One of the highlights was listening to Debbie Stoller talk from Bust Magazine. I am a fan of hers and she left me pondering about what to do with my own Kerry Magazine. It was a project of mine before this current space to help show all women as beautiful. It evolved into some pretty interesting issues. You can check it out here: http://www.kerrymagazine.com.

I love connecting with people I knew from being a presenter at previous conferences like Ami from Flutterbye Prints(above).

I was also on a panel about self-care which is one of my fave topics! I showed up in a bright red dress and a huge flower crown because that is one of the ways I show love for myself, by wearing what makes me feel fabulous. Also, on the panel from left to right is designer, Jeanetta Gonzales, business coach, Alisha Roberston, and Holly Marsh of MarshMueller.

Some takeaways for you would be: getting better at saying no, scheduling downtime, learning to know when you are close to burnout, practicing breathing exercises, decluttering, and taking breaks from social media.

The last evening I was there, I was a part of Wanderings. This is a super fun event where guests and presenters alike are given the opportunity to change their room into a theme for the other attendees to wander in and out of all night. Cassie and I created The Zen Den. We offered DIY essential oil blends, coloring pages, crystal kits and, of course, tarot card reading with me.

I went for 4 hours straight and LOVED the connections, and “aha” moments that happened that evening. I hugged and cried and laughed with people I had just met. When asked how I was able to do this, I told them that I simply created the space for them to feel safe to look within and honestly view the situations they were concerned about. I followed up with everyone about their card a few weeks later to help keep them in the groove of the event.

I made sure I crafted too! Of course, I signed up for the clay moon phase mobile class and a mixed-media macrame wall hanging (above).

If you are a creative business owner or simply someone who loves getting crafty, I encourage you to check out Craftcation in 2019. I am very grateful to have been part of it this year. For more info and photos go here: dearhandmadelife.com/craftcation-conference/.

Positive Affirmation Guided Meditation

Do you ever wonder:

How can I feel more confident, joyful, and grounded?

There are two places to start:

  1. How you talk to yourself every day
  2. How much meditation you do each week

Positive Affirmation Guided Meditation

In about 5 minutes you will have the opportunity to slow down, tune in, and say positive things to yourself. Hooray!

I hope you bring this meditation into your life and start to see ways to make the positive affirmations become your reality. Read them all below and then listen to the meditation.

Spread Love – A Heart Chakra Meditation

When I feel like the world needs a bit more love and I wish I could help, I try to end my days with a special meditation in which I envision that I am sending love and compassion from my heart to the whole world.

When there are special people on my mind, I pause and focus on them for a bit during this meditation.

Guided Heart Chakra Meditation

  • Close your eyes.
  • Take some deep breaths through your nose.
  • Then let your breath relax.
  • Picture your heart center.
  • Imagine love and compassion in and around your heart as light.
  • Pick a color for the light.
  • Let that light grow to encompass your whole body.
  • Let it grow to encompass your house or apartment building and all of the people in it.
  • Visualize it expanding to your neighborhood and city.
  • Then your state and country.
  • Then neighboring countries.
  • Then the whole world.
  • Visualize the whole world in your loving and compassionate light.
  • You are sending your positive and loving energy to every person, place, and creature.
  • Breathe.
  • Relax.
  • Open your eyes and continue on with your day or keep them closed and go to sleep.

Repeat often.

It is so healing.

There is scientific research confirming the heart is sending out light and electromagnetic wave fields. I love this excerpt from the book Playing in the Unified Field by Carla Hannaford, PhD:

“All the neurotransmitters found in the brain are also found in the heart. The heart actually appears to have its own sensitivity to the world, and exhibits that with intelligence, to the extent that the brain energetically revolves around the heart, and not the other way around.

The heart generates an electromagnetic energy field (EMF) that is 60 times greater than the field of the brain (as measured externally by a SQUID). It is the largest EMF within the body system, extending 8–16 feet around the body. People’s hearts are powerful transmitters, constantly sending out light and electromagnetic wave fields. The physical “antennae” able to pick up these waves is the entire body with its sensory apparatus and huge heart field.”

*** I talk about thinking of a color of the light of love that you send from your heart and I want to share some ideas:

  • go with the first color that pops into your mind
  • use green because it is the color associated with the heart (Anahata) chakra
  • go traditional with pink or red
  • use white light for healing

Eventually, you will do this without listening to a recording. You can lie in bed and just use your imagination. You can also use it to send love to a specific person too. I LOVE doing that!

You are a compassionate and loving person.

Your heart can heal the world!

Free Chakra Guided Meditations for you!

I am so excited to share with you these chakra meditations that I made for my friend, Kimberly Kling of Joyful Roots to specifically to accompany her new Triple Spiral Chakra Oils!!

“Kerry creates the most brilliant meditations and these are super simple, yet powerful! By incorporating the power of aromatherapy with your meditations, it will make the impact of the meditations even more potent.”

You can use these meditations as a set by practicing them in order with all three oils, or if you want a quicker meditation you can choose one of the oils and accompanying meditation to dive into that particular intention for the day.

Intro

Loving Assurance
Creative Expresssion

Rooted Awareness

Happy Meditating!!!

Note from Kerry:

I encourage you to check out her oils and all of her products! She lives on a ranch in southern Arizona and resources a lot of her ingredients from her garden. She has a passion for natural healing that I think you will adore.

You, however, do not have to have the oils to listen to the meditations. I would suggest picking a theme that you would like to feel and then listen to that meditation.

How to Create Your Own Moon & Arrow Lodge

Here’s the truth. I used to never slow down. I was a yoga teacher who never slowed down. Sometimes I would in the occasional class that had a nice long savasana and when that happened I definitely felt amazing but it didn’t last. I would worry and fret and feel anxious.

5 years ago when I needed to get out of a funk after moving, I started small. I took little bits of time to read inspirational books, do breathing techniques, meditate for 5 minutes, and so on. When I started to incorporate these bits of time into my day, my life started to flow with more ease and I started to enjoy my life more.

My desire to share this work with busy people is how the Moon & Arrow Lodge was born. I want you to create a space and time so you can slow down and find that space inside you where the stresses of the world melt away and you can get back to your life feeling lighter and happier.

Here are my tips to get you started…

Some of the things you might like to bring into your own space are:

  • candles
  • matches
  • sage
  • palo santo
  • crystals
  • essential oils
  • singing bowl
  • music
  • journal
  • pen
  • inspirational books
  • oracle cards (click here for your mini moon oracle deck!)

Watch until the end to find out my fave tips for slowing down and moving forward feeling clearer, lighter, and happier!

Want to learn how to use all of these tools and deepen your connection to yourself? Consider joining my monthly membership, The Dreamcatcher Circle, that is a nurturing community where busy individuals can slow down, tune into their inner wisdom, discover just how powerful they are, and begin to manifest their dreams.
